Expressions of Brazil
August 8, 2014 - August 10, 2014
Explore South America’s biggest country over a three-day festival featuring a kaleidoscope of arts, cultural and culinary events.
Brazil: a country of superlatives. Brazil, a country of huge proportions and contrasts, exercises a mysterious appeal over many people. With an area of 8.5 million km², it is virtually as big as Europe and covers half of the South American continent. Since the 16th century – when the Portuguese began settling in the country – Brazil has always had a magic seduction on foreigners. First there was gold, then rubber and coffee, and today it is above all the country’s rhythm, music, sports, industry and landscape that attract us. Brazilians are renowned for their happiness, kindness and spontaneity. The biggest country in South America is a kaleidoscope of fascinating pictures. Expressions of Brazil will reflect some of these pictures.
