Who We Are
In a city like Toronto it’s normal to feel isolated, alone, and overwhelmed, especially when faced with an unexpected pregnancy. The Pregnancy Care Centre was established in 1984 as a Christian non-profit, non-political, charitable organization to offer valuable community support. We are funded solely by donations from individuals, businesses and churches.

A high-end 3D/4D pregnancy ultrasound studio, A Date With Baby was designed to deliver professional service, while maintaining a welcoming and open environment. We are happy to offer expectant parents a chance to observe and bond with their little ones even before they are born. This unique service will bring the whole family together in our comfortable and luxurious studio, where parents and their guests can enjoy the view of their baby on a high resolution screen of our latest ultrasound system as well as a big screen TV – live! Our guests get to take home not only the high quality and high definition life-like pictures of their babies, but also their heartbeats, recorded onto one of our adorable and stuffed toy animals.
My name is Jenny Barandich. I am a mother to three beautiful children and birth doula-in-training, serving Toronto, York Region (including Thornhill, Richmond Hill, King City, Maple, Vaughan, Woodbridge, Aurora, Newmarket, Markham, Stouffville, as well as Bradford and Uxbridge) and the GTA (Canada). I speak English, Russian, and Hebrew, and I am able serve you on any of these languages.
My own childbirth experiences have led me to my calling as a doula today. Since welcoming our son in 2005 I became fascinated with pregnancy, birth and the capability of woman’s body, and have been learning all about it ever since. Today I believe that every mother can have a positive and empowering birth through encouragement, kindness and physical comfort. In 2014, following the birth of our third baby, I decided to become a doula, and chose to train and certify with Childbirth International (CBI).
In order to serve families and deepen my understanding of childbearing and birth, I will probably always have a list of classes and trainings I would like to take next, but most of my training still comes from raising my own children – birthing them, caring for them, teaching them, and most of all enjoying them! I have aspirations to become a midwife one day, when my children are older.
Birth is a sacred moment in life, and I aim to give love and support to women as they embark on their journey into motherhood.
